Drug Abuse Rehab: My Father’s Alcoholism
My father was an alcoholic. Even before I was born, he had alcohol abuse issues. It was really difficult to deal with him because he had terrible mood swings, and sometimes he even got really aggressive and hurt my mom and me. It was not easy to convince him to get into a drug abuse rehab program, but thankfully, he did. Ever since he finished the program, he has become a new person. The mood swings are gone, and he seems much happier! Alcoholism and substance abuse has broken many families; thankfully our family stayed together and overcame my dad’s alcoholism.
