Using Aquarium Water Conditioner

Aquarium water conditioners, as with any mixture, should be used only when needed. It has been reported that aquarists tend to use too much aquarium water conditioner. These aquarists seem bent on making the best quality water possible. That is a noble cause, especially if you love fish, but too much of anything, especially of something that can harm the environment, is not good. You should use an aquarium water conditioner only if the quality of your water will lead to the poor growth and health of your fish. Dark, murky aquarium water needs to be treated with good aquarium water conditioner.

Treat the water the first time you are using it for your aquarium. Then, change 20% of the water regularly. Most of the time, there is no need to condition the water. When the water gets dark, you may use a few drops of conditioner. Just keep a small bottle handy for aquarium water emergencies.
