After you have selected a home security company the next step is to select the type of sensor coverage you want in your home. The most popular sensor is the door/window sensor. These sensors will go on the door itself as well as the door frame and when the door opens the panel can pick it up.
Motion sensors sound really useful, but are usually so faulty that they are more work than it is worth. As long as you have door and window sensors there’s no reason to have a motion sensor. What you should get instead is a glassbreak sensor. Tempered glass has a special frequency that it hits when it is broken. A glassbreak sensor picks up this frequency and then the alarm goes off.
