King Tut: just like any other little boy?
I was interested to come across an article today about Egypt’s famous boy king, Tutankhamun, which revealed that when his tomb was uncovered it was learned that young King Tut liked board games. It’s certainly not surprising that we should find this type of evidence when you consider he was around 8 or 9 when he came to the throne and not even 20 when he died. They also found a number of canes in the tomb, suggesting that he had perhaps been a sickly child. It seems a huge burden to place on someone so young. You have to feel sorry for him in some ways.
