Health Benefits are a Bonus
When I graduated from nursing school, I received several job offers. My timing was perfect because there were many hospitals with a nursing shortage. Besides salary, benefits were a huge influence on my decision. At the time, it didn’t matter to me what state I worked in. I was single, and actually looked forward to a change of scenery. One hospital persuaded me to join them when I toured their facility. I was very impressed with their employee wellness program. Besides offering a free clinic for employees, they furnished their employee lounge with commercial fitness equipment. It showed me that they were concerned about the overall health of their employees.
